
Family Volunteers for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service 2010
More than 500 volunteers arrived early Saturday morning, January 16th to help the American Red Cross and HOPE worldwide share valuable fire prevention information with Phoenix families. The event was part of nationwide outreach program in celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. Wearing blue HOPE worldwide t-shirts donated by Angel MedFlight Air Ambulance, the dedicated workers received training, were divided into teams and assigned neighborhoods. The volunteers reached 15,000 Valley homes speaking with residents and passing out informational material.

Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard appeared at the event and thanked volunteers for their important contribution. Goddard recently received the 2010 Legacy Award which is presented to a true, unsung hero who has made numerous contributions to the betterment of Phoenix. He took a moment to speak with Kim Halloran, the Director of Business Development for Angel MedFlight, and expressed his appreciation to Jeremy Freer the company’s CEO for his community involvement and support of the event.

My father is up in Virginia at the UVA Intense care unit and will one day need transporting to the Shepard spine and rehab center in Atlanta, Ga. Would he be qualified to utilize Angel flights services?
