Dear Rene, Rose, Sue, Dave, Jonas, Tammy and your very special pilots,
It’s been a month now since our rushed flight from St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham, Washington to Loveland, Colorado. I can’t thank you enough for your response and compassion to our situation.
You were very aware of the urgency and our vital need to return to Colorado. I do so appreciate your sensitivity to my frantic [ ] calls…
Your replies to me [ ] gave me hope and some assurance that we could make the trip happen. When you said the plane would arrive at 6 AM September 24, I was so relieved and encouraged that we would be [on] our way. When the pilot said, “we’ll get you [there],” I broke down in tears. All I wanted was for us to get off the ground and be headed for Colorado…
[ ] The crew was incredible to our very delicate and fraught circumstance. They helped calm us and bring peace to our flight with encouraging and comforting words. Also, their respect for our family waiting on the runway was greatly appreciated.
[ ] Anne (patient’s daughter) and I had a chance to get to know Sue and Dave [Angel MedFlight medical crew]. Their stories of dedication to helping others were very impressive and touching. I knew then that we had the right people at our side.
Again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and respect at this very traumatic time of our lives. And thank you for the gorgeous plant that now brings beauty and a memory to our home.
Sincerely,
Barb
